Head Set Suggestion?

Post by kt7e »

I have had carcinomas removed from the tops of both ears. So, finding a head set that I can wear for a time is difficult. The Heil BM10 and HM10 have been very comfortable but with the added monitor turned up they allow feedback. Any suggestions on a head set that totally covers the ears that is comfortable as well as gud audio?

Thank you

Joe

Howdy Joe,

Due to a severe case of Occlusion when wearing any type of Closed style earphones, the only thing we can wear is Open Style. This does present some unique problems such as feedback when the TX Monitor is too loud or when improper Mic Technique (Stevie Wonder Head, AKA. Bobble Heading) is used.

We use the Sennheiser HD600 which are Circumaural Style cans, they cover your entire ear and do not sit "on top" of them. These are truly Open Style headphones.

Now Greg, W5UDX has found some other cans that he just adores, he says there far better then the HD650's, cheaper, and there closed cans. That would be the Ultrasone Pro900. You might drop him an email and inquire about them.

Take Care,

Head Phone Lead

Mr. VOODOO Guru,

Thank you for the leads for the head phones. The Sennheiser product line looks kool. We'll check out the Ultrasone series as well.
